Thankfully, we are blessed with having Valentine’s Day the day before a long weekend. Whether you live for this holiday or you despise it, a long weekend means there will be more of a crowd out east. Treat your loved one or bestie to being proactive and making a rez ASAP. Instead of being reactive, be proactive and take a look at some spots to book a reservation at before they sell out.
Pierre’s: one of the few places Out East that is opened 365 a year. With 500 selections of wine, this French restaurant has a great twist of French fusion with seafood. My favorite: mussels in a white wine sauce, Tarte flambé, Tuna tartar.
They already have a pre-fixed Valentines menu available already and the “Upstairs” private lounge will be open
Wolffer Kitchen: Right in the heart of Sag Harbor (don’t forget about their Amagansett location), this bohemian restaurant has a mix of everything. My fav’s: Stracciatella, Grilled Shrimp, Warm Brussel Sprouts, and the Salmon. Can’t go wrong with a bottle of Wolffer and their Charcuterie & Cheese board ☺
Cove Hollow Tavern: closed now but reopens on Valentine’s Day. Starting coming here last summer and it is so delicious. Small spot, staff is so nice, and the food is always great. If they have it, get the Pan Roasted Chicken and the roasted carrots. Both incredible!
Scarpetta: The last time I went, it was during the off season and the placed was JAMMED. Literally, the dead of winter, every table was taken and the bar was packed. This is a modernized Italian restaurant so don’t expect massive portions but do expect great food. All pastas are handmade in Scarpetta so need I say more? Try: Raw Yellowtail, Tuna Susci, Crispy Fritto Misto, Spaghetti and Halibut. All were incredible!
Tutto Il Giorno: Italian cocktail bar, what more could you want? The Sag Harbor location is different than the one in NYC. This gorgeous atmosphere, always has a crowd, even during the winter season. You will get a crowd there, but nothing too crazy during the winter. Amazing drinks, great food, you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for when you are craving Italian. Fun fact: Mostly everything inside the Sag Harbor location is for sale: furniture, chandeliers, paintings, you name it
Until next time!
XOXO, SunriseCay
